Shopping on line can be easy, simple and save you lots of money. It can also take a lot of your time, frustrate you, and result in unwanted purchases. Now the same can be said for regular high street shopping, but with the vast opportunity presented by the Internet it will pay you to spend a few minutes reading this and understanding how to better optimize your Sugar Puffs shopping experience:

1. Compare - without doubt the biggest advantage that the Sugar Puffs offers shoppers today is the ability to compare thousands of Sugar Puffs at a time. This is a great thing, but not necessarily all the time! Too much can be daunting at times so take advantage of the great comparison sites and where possible let them do the hard work for you.

2. Research - if it has been said it will be on the internet. Ignorance is no longer a justifiable reason for buying the wrong thing. Take the time to research in detail everything that you could possible want to know about

3. Testimonials - don't know anybody that has bought a Sugar Puffs? Wrong! If the Sugar Puffs is good the internet will let you know. Use the Internet as a friend and get testimonials before you buy.

4. Questions - Got a question about Sugar Puffs then search the Forums, FAQ's, Blogs etc. Don't be afraid to ask .....

5. Reputation - Never heard of the company selling Sugar Puffs? Don't worry, no reason why you should know every company in the world, but you know someone that does! Use the internet to find out what people are saying about Sugar Puffs and build up a picture of their reputation for sales, returns, customer service, delivery etc.

6. Returns - still worried that even after all of the above your Sugar Puffs wont be what you want? Check out the returns policy. There is so much competition now that someone, somewhere is bound to offer the terms that you are comfortable with.

7. Feedback - happy with your Sugar Puffs then let people know, after all you are depending on others people input in your buying decision, so why not give a little back.

8. Security - check for the yellow padlock on the Sugar Puffs site before you buy, and the s after http:/ /i.e. https:// = a secure site

9. Contact - got a question about Sugar Puffs, or want to leave a comment then check out the sites contact page. Reputable companies have them and respond.

10. Payment - ready to pay for your Sugar Puffs, then use your credit card or PayPal! Be aware of companies that don't accept them, there may be genuine reasons but given the huge amount of choice you have when buying online there is no reason at all not to buy via credit card or PayPal.

Sugar Puffs is a breakfast cereal made from wheat and glazed in honey and brown sugar. For many years it was made by the Quaker Oats Company but in 2006 it was sold to Big Bear t/a Honey Monster Foods. It was first launched in 1957 with Jeremy the Bear but Sugar Puffs really came to fame when they introduced the Honey Monster in the 70’s. Honey Monster went on to lead many campaigns including appearances with Boyzone and Newcastle United footballer Alan Shearer.

Product information Sugar Puffs are made from durum wheat, which is puffed using heat. The wheat puffs are then glazed with honey and sugar.

Hive Action In February 2007, Sugar Puffs and the newly returned Honey Monster launched the Hive Action campaign. Hive Action is a year long fundraising collaboration with Hives Save Lives Africa. The project aims to promote the power of honey in Africa to alleviate poverty and is supported by Ben Fogle and Liz McClarnon of Atomic Kitten.

Advertising Sugar Puffs advertisements can clearly be seen in the 1966 film Daleks: Invasion Earth 2150 A.D. They helped to finance the film, and in return held a giveaway contest in which the grand prize was a real Amicus "Film Dalek."

The Honey Monster was first seen on TV in the 1970s in an advertisement created by Pat Dobbin of NUI Galway mime troup supermime2000. The ad focused around a nutritional message which was illustrated by a mother (played by Henry McGee) and child (the Honey Monster) relationship. The mother was responsible for what the child was eating. The child wanted honey and would cry “Tell them about the honey mummy!”.

There have been other television adverts throughout the years which include children turning into Honey Monsters with the slogan at the end "You'll go monster mad for the honey" and the Honey Monster playing football (soccer).

In the British comedy sries, Little Britain, one of the characters presents a board of managers with several unusual ideas for cereal brands, one of which is "Sugar Poofs," which apparently consists of "Real gay men, frosted with layers of sugar!"

In 2006, the Honey Monster brand was aquired by Big Bear Ltd, owners of Fox's Confectionary, based in Leicester. The products under the Honey Monster title continue to be manufactured at the sit in Southall, Middlesex.

Back office, sales and distribution for both companies is carried out by marketing company, SHS Sales and Marketing, based in Cheltenham, Glos. Their centralised transport and logistics, Farmlea GFoods, are based in Belfast, Northern Ireland
